These Long Eleven Months Of Mine

So...
My 2011 summer vacation is coming to an end.
Now there are eleven months of school to dread.

Eleven months with those of my own age,
whom I fail to comprehend.
Eleven months to make impressions.
And thousand chances to break them.

Eleven months to feel the happiness,
of reaching home after school.
Eleven months to hope,
That summer will come soon.

These eleven months,
I ask this to those above
Make my life go slower,
my time is running out.

As I come of age, I feel my life leaving
those times of pure innocence;
those times of sweet believing.

I ask for good teachers
And pages that don't tear.
I have the good times to enjoy
And the hardships to bear.

I have these eleven months of past to write,
In my flowing blue ink,
the memories in my book of life.
Neatly for reminiscing.

May my line of fate cross with thine
And let it make the new days shine.
Leave the sadness of the past behind,
And give some space for a happy time.

And to think I haven't read much poetry outside my textbooks... Living in an imaginary world for most of your time really does wonders to your literary skill. =D

Well, I hope it's satisfactory. I felt my summer coming to an end and I just wanted to share my thoughts for the school year. For my seniors and juniors, my class starts in May, so I get only one month of summer. And thus, this sad poem. I don't want summer to end. Sitting in a classroom for eleven months is not my cup of tea. o_O~\

My Best Experience in 7th Grade

By Apoorva Anand
Class VII B

When you're a newbie in a class, just joined this year, having an AWFUL LOOOT of good experiences might be a bit umm.... Surprising. Yeah, really. I could fill PAGES and PAGES with all the fun we had in VII B (an extraordinarily AMAZING class).

          Starting off with...
1. Friends - Half of the fun wouldn't be possible without all my really krazzie, amazing buddies!
2. VII B - Every funster needs a place to have fun, eh?? Here we are! Add some Talks n' Laughs, teasings, fun, pranks and free class, and voilá! You get 7 B!
3. Classes: Well yeah, I guess I have to admit some of the fun wouldn't be possible without some of the teachers being a bit SUPPORTIVE. I bet managing us was NOT a an easy job!! Trust me.
So, there you go. All of the above mentioned come together to make the perfect class for teasing, throwing around bags, paper balls, stationary, chit chat 'n gossip, commending, punishments (SOME), chocolate fights, some entertainment during boring classes (there's some stuff we do when we're bored).
After all the class stuff, we come to the Christmas, Onam and Sargam festival and of course, NEVA' TO BE FORGOTTEN, the tour to Cochin!!! Here's something we won't forget and keep thinking about at random times. It was just Too Good to be true.
So lemme finish with  Some Memories NEVER fade. Cheers!!
I really DON'T like writing about Bad stuff. =D

PC Thomas at Thrissur: Experience of A Lifetime - 3rd part

They say that time flies when you are having fun.
In the first period alone, from 8.00-9.30 a.m., time dragged so slow. I even felt as if the hands of my watch were moving backwards. Fun was conspicuous by its absence.
After 9.30, we had our chemistry class. I was bending myself from my seat in hilarious postures which made some 'nerdos' look at me as if I was doing some magic trick or something. I turned to have a look at Gokul who was at the edge of sleeping. One can guess how our first period was from his expression.
Our chemistry teacher entered the class. He was short. I mean, well short old man... who looked really soft. He introduced himself with "My name is Radhakrishnan. I will be your chemistry teacher." He further talked to us about our course and our chances of reaching heights. We all listened to him with respect (Oh! c'mon! The old man needed some respect.). I even noticed the 'nerdos' wrote down some of his words too. Anyway, it didn't really matter. He went on with his speech until an ominous silence covered the whole block! Then, I woke up from my dullness.
When I was back to my senses, I realised that "the" Mr. PC-Thomas had come to our class. I had my first look at him. He was tall and stout too. He had specs, big ones, which made his eyes look cruel. He had a shaved face. That's all I could make out after my sleep. He addressed the class, his voice was old but firm. He wished us luck and spoke about his upcoming project - a school named Vijayagiri.
Finally, I met the man who was running the show.

My Best Experience in Class VII B

By Ashfaque T.K.
Class VII-B

My best experience in VII B was the day which was totally  bad but a little good. The good thing was that, that day was the distribution of the papers and I got good marks in all subjects. But then also it was a bad day for me.
Morning itself, after the bell, I was rushing to class. I was running blindly that I hit Father Principal! Of course, I got a scolding. I didn't mind that. When I reached the class, ma'am asked me, “Did you do the homework and the project?” I replied that I didn't do it and the punishment was to see father! But it was a risk to see father two times on the same day. I was so tensed and I pleaded to ma'am. But she forced me to see father. I was so tensed then while walking towards father's room and with my shivering legs, I entered the room. But for my luck, father went somewhere and I escaped the situation! But I didn't really fully escape.
At lunch time, I accidentally threw a ball at P.T sir. He scolded me and told me not to repeat that. But the next throw I did was to the same sir. This time everyone was laughing at me but sir scolded and teased me. My next throw nearly hit P.T. sir and it went to the rubber trees area which we were not supposed to go. But I entered the area and P.T sir saw me, scolded me and took me to father. Father John scolded me and warned me that I'd be sent home! I went back to class.
In the last period I was caught for talking. This time, I made some faces which she noticed and she took me to the father.  He scolded me and asked me to give a Rs.500/- fine. Father called my home and spoke to my parent.
When I reached home I got nicely from my father. Later, I showed him my papers which I got on that day. He was very happy because I got good marks in my exams.
Now you decide whether I had a good or a bad day!

why god created teachers

when god created teachers,
he gave us special friends,
to help us under stand,
his world.
and truly comprehend
the beauty & the wonder
of every thing we see
and become a
better person
with each discovery
