Good evening ladies and gentlemen, teachers and instructors.
Cleanliness and hygiene are factors most tourists thrive upon and in this sector the country's progress consistently lags behind, mainly owing to the fact that no law actually inhibits or prohibits the introduction of garbage into the public. Similarly the accommodation is a factor and in this, the country has taken huge strides but the expenses often surpass the ability of the average tourist. Despite the recent developments, consumer protection is yet another vulnerability, with the tourists often rendered frustrated & helpless by the slack customer service, exorbitant prices charged and likewise thus discouraging purchases. The lack of etiquette displayed is a factor which plagues the industry.
Resolving the above by imposing stringent fines on the polluter, enforcing consumer laws, providing decent and affordable accommodation will go a long way in developing tourism and salvaging the much needed foreign exchange for our country.
I stand before you all on the dais for what will hopefully be a productive oration not just intellectually but rather by berefting the nation of its sole lacuna namely - Poverty - courtesy the development of the tourism sector. Tourism is a potential hoard of foreign invest that the government of India can take refuge in, to evade the inescapable assailant namely economic collapse.Though the government has initiated projects for the ascension of the same, its attempt has been largely futile in uplifting the same. The reason - Innumerable..The cause - Avoidable.
